ArcheAge Chronicles Auroria Map

Three regions at launch

Early Access covers three regions of Auroria: Diamond Shores, Gylden Ruins and Astron Plains. Together they hold more than 60 areas and over 1,000 exploration and collection points.

Auroria is the continent where ArcheAge Chronicles takes place. The launch build does not open the whole world: it opens three regions, each with its own story, bosses, dungeons and visual identity. That is a deliberate structure — a dense slice rather than a wide, empty continent.

Diamond Shores

Diamond Shores is the region players saw in the October demo. It is the most documented area, with green ruins, coastal settlements and the demo dungeon, Throne of Hinnon.

The demo only used part of Diamond Shores. XLGAMES says Early Access opens most of the rest, which means demo players have not seen the full region's story or boss roster.

Gylden Ruins

Gylden Ruins is one of two regions added for Early Access. The name suggests a ruined civilisation, and the official screenshots show overgrown stone structures, fog and woodland. XLGAMES describes each region as having its own stories, bosses and dungeons.

There is no public map of Gylden Ruins yet. Do not trust fan-made maps that fill in every location; the region has not been fully shown.

Astron Plains

Astron Plains is the second new Early Access region. The screenshots suggest open terrain and desert or dry-grass vistas. Like Gylden Ruins, it has its own narrative chain and boss content.

The name has no published lore explanation yet. Treat speculation about "Astron" as speculation.

How big is the launch map?

XLGAMES gives three numbers:

  • Three regions
  • More than 60 areas
  • More than 1,000 exploration and collection points
  • Roughly twenty times the demo's playable space

"Areas" is not the same as "zones". A region contains multiple areas, each with its own points of interest, enemies and quests. That is why the launch build can be twenty times the demo while still covering only three regions.

What is in each region?

Every region is built from the same content layers:

  • A regional story chain
  • Field bosses that roam the open world
  • At least one dungeon
  • A Hersander's Tower with a riddle offering and a Hereafter Challenge
  • Exploration and collection points
  • Life-skill nodes for gathering, farming and crafting

The exact number of dungeons per region has not been published. XLGAMES has confirmed dungeons support solo or parties of up to four.

Should you explore every area?

Yes, if you want an efficient character. Discovery and collection points are primary EXP sources, and Coilstones — the trait-point pickups — are placed near bosses and hidden locations. A player who only follows the main quest will lag behind on trait points.

The leveling guide explains how to fold exploration into a route, and the bosses page covers field bosses and Hersander's Tower.
